Flipped BMX Issue 10

Very much based on the photography and making the photos the focus. Irregular layout and no apparent use of grids, but seems to work.

Bald Cactus Issue 24

Pretty standard 2 column layout. Black and white. Not very inventive with the grid. Interesting content tho. The sort of thing i would really like if it looked just a little more interesting. It's annoying how zines and stuff aren't really designed, they're more thrown together. I want to change this.

The Guardian - Do It Yourself And Save

I do think that the guide's layouts are really interesting. The use of 3 columns is completely utilised and makes for interesting visuals, especially with the spreading of images acorss two pages and so on.

This is also directly relevant to my DIY booklets briefs! Lots of really interesting stuff and the promotion of a self sufficient lifestyle.

Things to do in leeds!

Curtis and Terrorist - Modern Monstrosity Comics

The Curtis and Terrorist page on the Modern Monstrosity Comics website.

Hamd drawn front cover of issue 1. Looks like sharpy and highlighter on reformed cardboard, Rock and roll.

More hand drawn text on the inside cover.

6 panel A4 fold up zine stapled inside. CMYK print on glossy paper.

Issue 2 cover! Comes in a variety of stock colours. I love the front flap!

Aww look at how scared of terrorists he is.

Same arrangement inside as issue 1, 6 panel A4 sheet folded up and stapled in. Works really well.
